Kelleher also added a picture of a protest sign that reads: “Ambassador Filatov, please go home. You are a Putin puppet and you have insulted the Irish people with your lies.”
It comes after the Ambassador appeared on RTE’s Six One news on Friday evening where he lied about Russia wanting to take military action in Ukraine.
Presenter David McCullagh asked Filatov when his country would stop their aggression towards Ukraine.
“What we’re talking about here is really a humanitarian tragedy…” he said, before McCullagh cut him off and said that Amnesty International had described “indiscriminate attacks” in Ukraine by the Russian military.
Filatov then went on to claim that the war going on in Donetsk and Luhansk was being perpetrated by Kyiv.
Once again Filatov denied Russia was misleading the world about their plans to invade Ukraine.
McCullagh went on to quote Filatov when he appeared on Primetime 10 days prior and told RTE that an imminent threat of Russian invasion was an attempt by the US to inflate tensions between the two countries.
Upon once again denying what was being said, McCullagh said that the Ambassador was either a liar or had no idea what was going on.
