'Aggravated burglary' Men rob cash, phone and jewellery from elderly woman's home in Sligo

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary at an elderly woman's home in Sligo at the weekend.

The incident took place between 7.20pm and 7.45pm on Friday, 19th November in the Tourlestrane area.

Three men entered the woman’s house and stole a number of items, including jewellery, a handbag containing cash, and a mobile phone.

After being alerted, gardaí established several checkpoints and patrols in surrounding areas but failed to locate any suspects.

Sligo gardaí are now appealing to anyone who was in the Eskragh or Tourlestrange area of Sligo between 7.15pm and 8pm on Friday to contact them.

They are particularly appealing to any road users who may have dash cam or video footage.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
