Serious injury Man rushed to hospital after suspected stabbing in Ballymun, Dublin

A man was rushed to hospital last night after a suspected stabbing in north Dublin. 

Gardaí confirmed they are are investigating an alleged assault which occurred in Ballymun, yesterday evening at approximately 6pm.

The injured party was rushed to the Mater Hospital where he was treated for a number of apparent stab wounds.

Gardaí have described the injuries as “serious but non-life-threatening".

In a statement they said: “A man, 30s, was attended to by emergency services and removed to The Mater Hospital after he suffered apparent stab wounds which have been described as serious but non-life threatening.

“No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
