Nabbed Man arrested as ketamine worth €300,000 seized in organised crime raid in Dublin

Gardaí have arrested one man (36), and recovered five kilogrames of ketamine after a targeted raid in west Dublin yesterday.  

The bust was carried out by the Garda Drugs Organised Crime Bureau as part of an ongoing investigation targeting serious organised criminal activity.

As part of the operation personnel attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), stopped a vehicle and searched a premises in west Dublin on Tuesday.

In the course of the operation, five kilograms of the drug, a powerful horse tranquiliser, with an estimated street sale value of €300,000 was seized.

A man was subsequently arrested and is currently detained pursuant to the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Crumlin Garda Station.

He can be held for up to seven days and gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
