Gardaí and the HSA are investigating
A man in his 60s has died following a farmland accident in Drimoleague, West Cork on Thursday.
Gardaí and the emergency services attended the scene at around 3.30pm in the afternoon.
It has been reported that he may have died after falling into a slurry pit.
His body was taken to Cork University Hospital for an autopsy.
Gardaí have begun an investigation into the fatal incident for the coroners court.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) will also investigate.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended a fatal workplace accident in Drimoleague in Cork yesterday, 3rd March 2022.
“At approximately 3.30pm the body of a man (60s) was located on a farm in the area.”
