A man is in a “serious condition” following a crash in Limerick on Sunday night.

The single-vehicle accident, involving a van, took place shortly after 11pm on the R512 at Carrigmartin in Ballyneety, Co. Limerick on Sunday night, 9th January.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene and the driver, aged in his 30s, was later taken to University Hospital Limerick where he remains in a serious condition.

The R512 is currently closed between Cahernarry and the Drombana Road. Local diversions are in place.
