'Personal Tragedy' Man (30s) dies in 'tragic' fire incident in Kerry park

A man has died in a “tragic” fire incident in Co. Kerry this morning.

The incident took place at Fossa in Killarney, Co. Kerry today, Tuesday 3rd February.

A group of passersby called for emergency services after reportedly witnessing a man on fire on the popular woodland walking route.

Gardaí and emergency services arrived at the scene and the man, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead.

The scene is currently closed off while a technical examination is taking place.

A post-mortem has been arranged and will take place shortly.

A garda spokesperson added that the incident is being treated as a “personal tragedy.”
