RIP Man (30) found dead in Cork garden to be laid to rest on Saturday

The man who was found dead in a Cork garden this week after a tragic accident will be laid to rest this weekend.

Scott Gallagher (30), a chef originally from Montenotte in Cork, was sadly found dead in the garden of a house on Dunbar Street on Monday morning at approximately 10am.

He is believed to have fallen from the roof the night before and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) where a postmortem took place.

Mr Gallagher will repose in his parents' home on Friday, February 4th, from 5pm to 7pm before a Cremation Service takes place on Saturday, February 5th at 1pm at the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

A notice on RIP.ie reads: “Gallagher (Montenotte & Douglas Street, Cork): On January 31st, 2022, as a result of a tragic accident, Scott, beloved son of Sharon and Seamus and loving brother of Grace and Simon.

“Sadly missed by his loving family, sister-in-law Maria, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, friends and colleagues especially the Market Lane family.
