Jason Corbett’s daughter will be donating some of her books to children who have lost a loved one.

Sarah (14), whose father Jason was murdered in his sleep 2015 as his children slept upstairs, has said that she wants to help bereaved children.

The teenager also lost her mum Mags Fitzpatrick, who died following a severe asthma attack.

Molly and Tom Martens were found guilty in 2017 of the second-degree murder of Jason Corbett and served time in prison.

However, their verdicts were overturned by the North Carolina Supreme Court last year after they said they did not get a fair trial and were released on bail with a bond of $200,000.

As she coped with the loss of both parents, Sarah wrote her own children’s book called Noodle Loses Dad.

It was written to help young children deal with bereavement and losing a loved one but now she plans to go one step further.

Sarah announced on social media that she would be donating copies of her book to children who are experiencing loss and has asked for distributers to get in touch with her to help make the book widely available.

She tweeted: “Announcement! I decided to donate my second print run of books free to help children bereaved or as a learning tool could someone help me distribute #livedexperience.”
