Ireland leads Europe in sightings of UFOs new study finds
Could aliens be planning an invasion of Ireland?
Ireland is officially the UFO capital of Europe, according to a new report commissioned by a leading psychic website.
Ahead of World UFO Day on July 2, experts at Psychicworld.com analysed data from the National UFO Reported Centre State Report Index and found a total of 105 UFO sightings have been reported in Ireland, with each sighting lasting an average of around 13 minutes.
It’s not clear why the sightings are so prevalent, or if the little green men simply feel more at home on ‘The Emerald Isle’.
The most prevalent types of UFO sightings over the island have been reported to have been flying in what experts call ‘light formation’.
Ireland headed up the table shortly followed by Spain (71 sightings), France (70). Germany (54), the Netherlands (51), Greece (50), Norway (45), Italy (41), Sweden (37) and Portugal (35).

Meanwhile, the countries with the least reported UFO sightings are San Marino, Belarus, Moldova, Macedonia, Andorra, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Latvia, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg.
A spokesperson from Psychicworld.com said: “Monaco is the country with the longest duration of alien visits lasting an average of 45 minutes!
“Of the four confirmed sightings, the most prevalent type of UFOs in Monaco are flying discs.
“Liechtenstein ranks second with UFO sightings lasting an average of 39 minutes. Of the 12 confirmed instances, most witnesses claim to have seen a light formation moving in the sky.
“Following behind in third and fourth position are Latvia and Ukraine, with sightings lasting an average of 24 minutes, and 22 minutes, respectively.”
