Hundreds of Land Rover Discovery vehicles are being recalled after issues were identified that could lead to an increased risk of accident.

Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited has said that 341 vehicles in Ireland are subject to a voluntary recall.

The company said that a concern has been identified where, due to insufficient contact of the battery earth stud to the chassis, the vehicle may exhibit various electrical faults.

This means that the vehicle could cut out while in motion and may lose all electrical power.

“Vehicle (s) cut out while in motion and loss of exterior lighting without warning to the driver could lead to an increased risk of an accident,” the company warned in a statement.

The vehicles in question were manufactured from September 21, 2018 to August 31, 2020.

There are 341 affected jeeps in the Republic of Ireland.

Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local dealer or authorised repairer, where necessary works will be carried out on vehicles.

Also, if your vehicle is impacted by this recall, you can contact Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited on 01 4893790 (open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) or alternatively, using the following web form.
