Gardaí discovered an additional €200,000 worth of cannabis during a follow up operation earlier today.

The earlier drugs bust took place in the capital on Wednesday. The search of a premises in Kilmore resulted in the seizure of suspected cannabis herb with an estimated value of €72,000 by Customs officers.

The joint intelligence led operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit, and the Revenue Customs Service as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime gangs operating in the area.

Gardai arrested a 37-year-old woman at the scene and she was detained at Ballymun Garda Station. She was later released without charge and gardai said a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai said investigations are ongoing.
