Drugs haul Gardai seize €64k cocaine from Dublin man following surveillance operation
A man in his 30s remains in custody in Coolock Garda Station following the seizure of over €64,000 worth of suspected cocaine in North Dublin last night.
The man was arrested by gardai attached to the Divisional Drug Unit who were engaged in a surveillance operation on the Greencastle Road in Coolock.
During the course of the operation, one man was stopped and searched at approximately 9pm.
Gardai found eight large bags of suspected cocaine in his possession.
The suspected cocaine weighs approximately 1kg and is estimated to be worth approximately €64,960.
The man was arrested and taken to Coolock Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
