Gardai say death of man in Monaghan house blaze was a 'tragic accident'

Gardai have said they are treating the death of a man in a fatal house fire in Co Monaghan as a tragic accident.
The body of the man who was in his 60s was found in the property at Derrygorry, Killybrone, Emyvale, by gardaí on Friday, November 26.
Gardaí said they had rushed to the address after they were alerted following reports of a house fire at approximately 8.30am.
It was later reported that two units from the Monaghan Fire Station were deployed to the farm house fire during which breathing apparatus was required.

“A man in his 60s was located deceased inside the property,” gardai said.
“The Coroner was notified and the body of the deceased was removed to the mortuary at Navan Hospital.
“At this time the man's death is being treated as a tragic accident. A file will be prepared for the Coroner."
