Heartbreaking Gardai looking to speak to man after mum and kids' bodies found at Ballinteer home
Gardai are looking to speak to a man in his 30s who is known to a woman and her two children whose bodies were found in a house in south Dublin this morning.
The grim discovery was made when officers from the Armed Support Unit (ASU) breached a door at a property on the Llewellyn estate in Ballinteer.
Gardai called to the house after neighbours contacted officers to say that they were concerned as they had not seen the family for a number of days.
It is understood that the body of the woman was found in an upstairs bedroom of the property and that the children were found in another bedroom.
The boy and girl are believed to be aged nine and 11.
“Gardaí are currently at the scene of an incident at a residential property in South Dublin where the bodies of two children and an adult have been discovered,” a garda spokesman said.
The house is sealed off this afternoon as forensic officers carry out investigations and the State Pathologist is due to attend the scene.
