Gardaí launch investigation after body of man (30s) found in Cork lake

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man’s body was found in a lake in West Cork on Tuesday.
The body was discovered in Dunmanway, Co. Cork yesterday afternoon.
The deceased is believed to be a man in his 30s.
His body was taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) for a postmortem examination.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances of the death of a man in his 30s in Dunmanway, Co. Cork yesterday afternoon.
“His body was taken from the water and he was pronounced dead. His body has since been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.”
