Gardaí have renewed an appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Co Kilkenny earlier this month that left one woman in a critical condition in hospital.

The collision at Tinnaslatty, The Rower, on Saturday, October 9, occurred at approximately 6.45pm and involved two cars

“A driver from one of these vehicles, a woman aged in her 40s, was seriously injured during the collision,” gardai said.

“She remains in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital.”

A forensic collision investigation was completed at the scene.

However, gardaí believe there are a number of motorists who may have witnessed the collision that have not yet come forward.

“We are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to this incident to contact us,” they said.

Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who were travelling between New Ross and Inistioge or Graiguenamanagh on the evening of Saturday, October 9 and who may have camera footage (including dash cam), to make it available to them.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056 775 4150, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
