Mayhem Gardaí investigate public order incident in Co Carlow after fight is captured on video

Gardaí have said they are investigating a public order incident on Kennedy Street in Co Carlow after a fight broke out at approximately 7pm. 

In several videos that have been posted on social media, a man in a white cut off tee-shirt is seen shouting out in the street before grappling with another man in what appears to be the entrance to a café.

Other men join in the melee and various implements that look like snooker cues and broom handles are used.

A piece of broken shelving is used to try and break the window of the café but with no success.

Garda vehicles then arrive on the scene and one man is seen being put into the back of one of them by several gardai.

Shocked onlookers captured the mayhem on several videos that have been widely shared on social media.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
