Gardaí in north Dublin were really the cat’s pyjamas yesterday after rescuing a kitten trapped in a tree.

On Sunday afternoon, Garda Cowley and Garda Hanrahan from Howth Garda Station spotted a small ginger kitten stuck up in a tree in Bayside, Dublin.

The kitten was brought to safety when Garda Cowley climbed up the tree and carried it to the ground as onlookers watched.

It was photographed strolling off casually, none the worse for its adventure.
