RIP Funeral of young mum found dead in house in Co Kerry to take place on Friday

The funeral of a young mother-of-two whose body was discovered at a house in Lixnaw, Co Kerry last Monday is to take place on Friday. 

Gardai have said they are continuing to “maintain an open mind” in the investigation into the death of Joyce Mullins (32).

A post mortem has been carried out but details of the post mortem results are not being released “for operational reasons”, they added.

On RIP.ie it states that a private family funeral will be held for Joyce, of Slí na Faiche, Lixnaw and formerly of Tralee, Lixnaw, Kerry/Tralee, Kerry.

Joyce's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday (July 30) at 11am in St Michael’s Church, Lixnaw, followed by burial in Kilfeighney Cemetery.

The notice adds that Joyce is the “adored mother of Preston, Tommy, Shay and Kacey, beloved daughter of Lorraine and wonderful sister of Aodhín and Hannah.

“Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family – her children, mother sisters, grandmother Bernie, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and wide circle of friends."

Numerous messages have been left in the condolences section, including: “Our deepest condolences to all the Mullins family on the passing of Joyce RIP God's blessings to you all."

Another adds: “Sincere Condolences to Lorraine and all the Mullins Family on the sad passing of Joyce may she rest in peace.”

Gardaí in Listowel had earlier issued an appeal to any person with any information in relation to this investigation to contact them at Listowel Garda Station on 068 50820, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
