Four firearms, ammunition and €18k worth of suspected cocaine seized in Finglas

Gardaí seized four firearms, including two rifles, a handgun and a sawn-off shotgun, ammunition and €18,000 of suspected cocaine during an intelligence led operation in Finglas on Thursday evening.
Four firearms, including two rifles, a handgun and a sawn-off shotgun, ammunition and €18,000 of suspected cocaine was seized during an intelligence led operation in Finglas on Thursday evening.
A domestic premises and two vehicles were searched in a residential estate by gardaí from the Divisional Drug Unit, the K Divisional Task Force and the District Detective Unit, with assistance from the Armed Support Unit.
During the course of the search of one car, gardaí recovered a handgun, ammunition and €18,000 of suspected cocaine which was divided and bagged in small quantities.
A search of a second car led to the discovery of a a sawn-off Browning shotgun, SAKO rifle, Rifle 22 with scope, and ammunition.
All firearms have been sent to the Ballistics Unit for analysis.
Both vehicles have been seized by Gardaí for further technical examination.
