Fire brigades race to scene after truck overturns on Port Tunnel slip road on M50

The Dublin Fire Brigade has warned that there are “continued delays” in the area but is allowing traffic to pass through.

Emergency services are currently attending the scene of an overturned truck at the M1/M50 interchange in Dublin.

The incident occurred on the slip road leading towards the Port Tunnel from the M50.

Dublin Fire Brigade has warned that there are “continued delays” in the area traffic is allowed to pass through.

A spokesperson tweeted: “We're just finishing up on scene at the #M50 #M1 interchange collision. Recovery still to take place, expect continued delays. Thanks for your patience.”

An update from AA Roadwatch reads: “Emergency services are still dealing with an overturned truck at the M1/M50 Interchange.

"It's blocking the left lane of the slip from the M50 northbound towards the Port Tunnel southbound. Traffic can pass with care, though it's a little slow on approach.”
