The fiancée of tragic car crash victim Myles Harty has posted a touching tribute to him ahead of his funeral.

Myles “Miley” Harty (20), from Askeaton, Co Limerick, died instantly when the car he was a front seat passenger in left the road and hit a pole after midnight on Friday.

Mr Harty was due to get married to his sweetheart Kate Qulligan at St Munchin’s Church in Limerick City on Saturday afternoon.

His funeral mass will take place tomorrow at 12pm in St. Mary's Church, Askeaton, followed by burial at Reilig Mhuire Cemetery.

Just hours before hiss death, Ms Quilligan posted a photograph on Facebook of herself beside a message for Mr Harty, that read: “Can’t believe I’m marrying my best friend in the whole world in the morning. See you at the altar babes. Husband and wife in the morning, our fairytale has finally come.”

Now, the bereaved woman has posted a lengthy tribute to her fiancé on Facebook in which she explained how the pair met on social media and said that Mr Harty’s death has left her “broken”.

She wrote: “I’ll try to describe my feelings for you even though it’s not possible because I loved you so much... I knew you were the one for me️.

“Our relationship just grew stronger and stronger, we never stopped texting, we grew closer and closer every day.

“I won’t lie, I was so scared to fall for you at the start but I couldn’t help it. You were just the most loveable man I ever met and did your best for me since day one.

“We made a promise to say ‘Goodnight, I love you’ every night no matter what. How am I never ever again going to hear from you or see you again? I just don’t understand.

“I have memories to last me a lifetime but the pain that I’m in is never going to leave me.”

Kate also shared a series of photos of their memories together, including pictures of Mr Harty trying on his wedding suit.

She said: “You couldn’t wait to wear it. Little did we know you’d never get to wear it [or] to see me come up the aisle. We were that close you wanted me to help you pick out your suit.”
