Emergency services attended a fatal crash on the N4 in Westmeath this morning.
The incident, which involved a number of vehicles, happened at Junction 17 Culleen Beg near Ballinafid at approximately 9.30am this morning.
The road has since reopened following a technical examination.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, and may have dashcam footage are being asked to get in contact with Gardaí.
Anyone travelling on the stretch of road either side of the Culleen Beg junction between 9.00am and 9.20am this morning should make contact with Mullingar Garda Station on 044 938 4000.
