Two people and a dog were rescued from a blaze in Dublin on Wednesday.

Firefighters from Dolphin’s Barn Fire Station were called to the scene of a “well developed” house fire yesterday evening, where they rescued the pup and two people inside the property.

The fire was quickly put out and a positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the house and rid it of any remaining smoke.

Speaking about the incident on Twitter, Dublin Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters from Dolphins Barn fire station rescued two people and a dog from a well developed house fire yesterday.

“A positive pressure fan was also used to ventilate the property of any remaining smoke. #Dublin #fire”
