Dublin Fire Brigade shares image revealing dramatic aftermath of M1 crash

Dublin Fire Brigade said two people were treated for non life-threatening injuries at the scene by firefighter/paramedics from Swords Fire Station.

The Fire Brigade has revealed that a recent survey found that 97 per cent of people report using a seat belt in the front, and 84 per cent in the back.

“Statistics show that one in four of driver killed on our roads was not wearing a seat belt,” the brigade tweeted.

They added in a later post: “We're all familiar with airbags in steering wheels but most cars will have passenger and curtain airbags too.

"But remember dashboards are not for feet and always wear a seatbelt. Airbag deployment can cause injuries to an unrestrained passenger.
