A driver has been left not so chipper after being arrested for speeding in pursuit of some McDonald’s.
Following speed checks from the Naas Roads Policing Unit, the motorist was found to be driving at 107km/h in an area with a speed limit of 50km/h.
Gardaí revealed that the driver was in a rush to satisfy cravings for a Big Mac.
The hungry motorist was arrested and is set to appear in court for the offence.
Gardaí shared the news on Twitter, saying: “We’re not loving this! Naas Roads Policing Unit carrying out a speed check last night detected this car speeding at 107km/h in a built-up area with a 50km/h speed limit.
“Driver said they were in a rush for a Big Mac. Driver arrested, court to follow. #SlowDown.”
