Covid latest Coronavirus: Three further deaths and 335 new cases

There has been three further deaths linked to Covid-19 and 335 new cases in Ireland, the Department of Health has confirmed.

This brings the death toll to 2,036, while there is now a total of 71,494 confirmed cases.

Of the cases notified today, 119 are in Dublin, 29 in Kilkenny, 23 in Limerick, 20 in Donegal, 19 in Tipperary, 19 in Cork, with the remaining 106 spread across 19 other counties.

The median age is 35 years old, and 64pc are under 45 years of age.

There are 246 Covid-19 patients in hospital, 35 of which are in ICU.
