Cases latest Coronavirus Ireland: Two deaths and 264 new cases of Covid-19 announced
A further two people have died while 264 new cases of Covid-19 were announced today.
It brings the total number of Covid-19 related deaths to 2,126 while the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 76,449.
As of 2pm today, a total of 215 people are in hospital with the illness, 33 of whom are in ICU. There were 17 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
Of the cases notified today;
- 128 are men / 134 are women
- 65% are under 45 years of age
- The median age is 36 years old
- 79 are in Dublin, 24 in Donegal, 19 in Kerry, 18 in Limerick, 14 in Kildare, 14 in Wexford and the remaining 96 cases are spread across 16 other counties.

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland there have been a further five deaths related to Covid-19, bringing the region’s toll to 1,129.
Department of Health figures have also notified another 419 new cases of the virus.
