Latest Figures Coronavirus Ireland: Three further deaths and 474 new Covid-19 cases confirmed

A total of 155 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 44 are in ICU.

There has been three further Covid-19 related deaths while 474 new cases of the virus have been confirmed by the Department of Health this evening.

This brings the Covid-19 death toll to 4,899 while the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland now stands at 248,326.

The median age of those who newly contracted the illness is 32 years old with 71 per cent of cases ocurring in people under 45 years of age.

.Of the cases notified today, 239 were diagnosed in men and 232 are women.

A total of 167 of the new cases are in Dublin, 39 in Kildare, 37 in Cork, 36 in Donegal, 29 in Meath and the remaining 166 cases are spread across all other counties.

As of 8am today, 155 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 44 are in ICU. 14 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of April 27 2021, 1,452,434 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland with 1,041,284 people having received their first dose and 411,150 people having received their second dose.
