latest figures Coronavirus: 252 new cases of Covid-19 and no further deaths


There has been an additional 252 cases of Covid-19 in Ireland and no further deaths, the Department of Health has confirmed. 

There is now a total of 70,711 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland, while the death toll stands at 2,022.

The median age is 34 years old and 65pc are under 45 years of age.

Of the cases notified today, 88 cases are in Dublin, 26 in Cork, 21 in Kilkenny, 16 in Louth, 16 in Mayo, with the remaining 85 cases spread across 20 counties.

There are 289 people in hospital and 33 are in ICU.
