This was the dramatic scene in Phibsborough, north Dublin this morning after a car crashed into a house. 

A black vehicle can be seen with its rear smashed in through the front of the house.

The passenger door appears to be wrenched back on the car.

Dublin Fire Brigade posted the images on their Twitter account and added: “Firefighter/Advanced Paramedics from Phibsborough fire station were called to a road traffic collision this morning.

“Two fire engines including an emergency tender and one ambulance attended the incident.

“The property was stabilised and the scene made safe.”

In a later statement the Fire Brigade added: "At 8.30 this morning Dublin Fire Brigade responded to a road traffic collision off the North Circular Road in Dublin 7.

"Three units were mobilised including an emergency tender and ambulance from Phibsborough fire station.

"A vehicle had hit the wall of a house and the property was made safe by firefighters."

The statement adds: "One person was removed to hospital and the dangerous buildings section of Dublin City Council also attended the scene."

Gardai added that they attended the scene of a road traffic collision at 8.30am "where a car struck a house in Phibsborough".

“No injuries have been reported at this time,” gardai added. “Investigations are ongoing.”
