'bruising and swelling' British man arrested in Abu Dhabi for assaulting Irish woman

A British man has been arrested in Abu Dhabi for an assault on an Irish woman.

As reported by The National News, the man in question has also been accused of threatening to post sensitive photographs of the woman online.

The victim filed a complaint alleging that she was beaten by the man which caused her bruising and swelling.

She also alleged that the man threatened to post personal photographs of her online if she reported the abuse.

An eye witness also gave a report to authorities in which the woman’s story of abuse was corroborated.

When arrested, the accused denied the charges brought against him.

He has been remanded in custody.
