Body recovered in search for missing 82-year-old Helen Owens in Wicklow
She was last seen around 4pm on Monday and a garda appeal was issued last night.

THE search for missing woman Helen Owens has been called off after a body was found this afternoon in Wicklow.
Helen (82) had been missing from her home in Killoughter in Co Wicklow since yesterday.
She was last seen around 4pm on Monday and a garda appeal was issued last night.
Gardaí issued a statement this evening confirming searches had been stood down.

A spokesperson said: "Following the recovery of a body on the shore, south of Wicklow town, Co. Wicklow this afternoon Tuesday 15th February, 2022 the missing person appeal in respect of Helen Owens, 82 years, has been stood down.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter."
