Three bodies have been found at a house in Ballinteer, south Dublin today.

Gardai say they are currently at the home where the tragic discovery was made after neighbours became concerned.

When gardai attended the scene, they forced their way inside the premises where the bodies of two children and an adult were found.

RTE reports the deceased are believed to be a mother and a boy and girl aged between six and 11 years old.

The scene has been preserved and the State pathologist has been notified.
