Dublin Fire Brigade appealed to the public to avoid the area surrounding a high rise building fire in Tallaght this afternoon.

The brigade said eight units were currently attending the blaze in Belgard Square while three ambulances were also on scene.

“Please keep clear of the area to allow emergency vehicles access,” the brigade tweeted.

Gardai say traffic has been diverted in the local area while Luas trams were moved away from the scene.
