Ashfield latest No minors were injured in Blanchardstown assault incident, sources claim

A post mortem on the deceased, a man in his 40s, is due to take place this morning

A child who is believed to have been in the house in West Dublin where three people were assaulted yesterday afternoon was not injured in the incident, sources have revealed. 

It has been reported that the child was in the house in Ashfield Park, Blanchardstown, when one man was fatally stabbed and two others were seriously injured at around 4pm.

However, a source said no minors were injured during the incident.

Meanwhile, a post mortem on the deceased, a man in his 40s, is due to take place this morning which gardaí say will direct the further course of the investigation.

He had been rushed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital where he later died.

A second man in his 20s, and a woman also in her 20s, remain in the Mater Hospital where they have been treated for what has been described as serious injuries.

Gardai are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident “at this time” but have appealed for anyone person or road user with camera footage (including dash cam) who may have been in the Ashfield Park area between 12 noon and 4pm to come forward.
