court appearance Man charged over seizure of over €100k worth of alleged stolen goods in Dublin


A MAN appeared in court this morning charged in relation to the seizure of over €100,000 worth of alleged stolen goods in Dublin this week.

Gardai investigating a suspected fraudulent transaction from a Dublin retail premises on Tuesday arrested the man (30s) at an apartment in Dublin 3 on Thursday.

A garda spokesman said: “During the course of the search, over 142 high-end items, which are believed to be stolen property, were recovered. It is estimated that the total value of the property seized is in excess of €100,000.

"In addition to the items, €32,900 and £2,000 in cash were seized along with a number of phones and laptops.”

The man was questioned by gardai at Pearse Street Garda Station before being charged and brought before Dublin District Court this morning.
