The author also suffered severe burn injuries herself and describes her own life battle in this uplifting read, sharing surprising moments of humour and a tremendous insight into one person's determination to survive against the odds.

Joe Duffy, who was one of the first to read the memoir, described it as: "A powerful, beautifully-written book... a life affirming tribute to love, courage, family, medics and Zoe's own personal fortitude. It is superbly written."
