It’s hard to believe, but Nicky Haden has been gone for a little over four years at this point.

Some time after he passed, his family decided they wanted to keep his memory and his legacy alive.

He had achieved so much, and he had touched a lot of lives in the short period of time that he was here. While he made the big bikes his own, posting win after win in the premier MotoGP racing class, it was always the Hayden replica helmet that stood out.

One of the ways that gave many of his fans the feeling of being directly connected to the racing supremo was by buying one of his helmet replicas. Over the years, Nicky had dozens of designs. Fans of his racing, good design and the best helmet on the market all round the world chose to wear one as a sign of both loyalty and respect for him.

Therefore, it’s for those fans that his family chose to work with Arai to continue producing Nicky’s replicas. After all, if it weren’t for these fans and their continued loyalty to his memory, there wouldn’t be any demand for any new Nicky’s designs. Since the fans continued to ask for them, the Hayden family felt compelled to make them available.

The only replicas produced since he passed were the ones that Nicky wore while racing. The people at Arai even brought back one of his all-time favourites, the Nicky Laguna.

What is interesting about this one is that the fans are looking for one that he did wear, but only while testing. This helmet has never been offered as a replica before and is sure to be a big hit with Moto GP afficionados as well as Hayden fans.

‘Reset’ was a special one-off Arai design that Nicky wore during off-season MotoGP testing. This symbolised his return to a familiar machine, and he used it to put a visual on his need to reset himself for that challenge. The helmet was a big hit with race fans and while there was some talk about making the Reset a replica, for some reason it just never materialised.

Now, however, demand for a new design has started to build. As a result, his family have worked with Arai to review the feedback from the fans and they found that the Reset design had remained as popular as ever.

Rather touchingly and considering the current situation that the world finds itself in, everyone agreed that the idea of the Reset design was perfect for right now. As a result, Arai has unveiled the new Nicky Reset graphic on the Arai RX-7V. Now, this stunning design will be available to the public from Arai dealers across the world.

The RX-7V is, without doubt, one of the most advanced, highest quality helmets available anywhere on the planet. It is the culmination of Arai’s huge experience in helmet design and demonstrates the company’s unwavering focus on rider protection.

With features like an ingenious shield mechanism, dramatically improved airflow and ventilation as well as an odour resistant liner, the RX-7V has certainly earned its place as a flagship helmet.

As with any product, the premium quality comes with a similar price tag. But when you consider the stunning design, the quality of the build and the level of protection, parting with a chunk of your hard-earned cash for one of these lids isn’t an entirely unreasonable proposition.
