Mum-of-two Stephanie Connolly has lost over 4st with Unislim, the 35-year-old say the easy-to-follow eating plan has completely changed her life.

“I have always struggled with my weight. At my heaviest I was 16stone and I hated it. I have definitely always been a yo-yo dieter. I’ve tried different slimming groups in the past but it was only after I had my first child, Liam, in 2018 that I decided to make a change and try Unislim.

“I joined as an online member in October 2018 and by January 2019 I had become a Leader and I fell completely in love with the plan. It fitted in so well with my busy schedule as a first-time mum and I never ate so much delicious food.

“The plan consists of three meals a day and the key is to make sure each meal is balanced with carbohydrates, protein and fruit and salad. Two healthy snacks are also incorporated into the plan. I just couldn’t believe how quickly the weight was coming off.

“ There was only one class available in the whole of Galway and I just thought everybody needs to know about this plan it was so easy, especially all these working moms.

“So I opened my own classes and in 2019 a year later, I got my four stone award. I had never felt more confident and at ease in my body,” says Stephaine.

When the pandemic hit in March 2020 she was offered a promotion with the opportunity to do a degree in Retail Management and realised “something had to give” so she stepped away from the classes.

“I got to target again, and I got pregnant again, with my baby girl Ciara. I gained over 4st on that pregnancy. Ciara was born in July and I went back to Unislim in September. I started at 15st 4lbs and now I am at 13st 1lbs.

“I have mapped out my entire journey on my Instagram account @stephymwah and I have a huge community of people that follow me for tips and support, so much so that I am not back doing online classes.

“What I love about Unislim is that we also teach people about their triggers and the psychology of why they eat the way they do.

“My advice to anyone who wants to sign up and make a change is, take it day by day and meal by meal. Be kind to yourself, the way we speak to ourselves it absolutely awful, if your friend came to you and said they were up two pounds what would you say to them?

For any new mums, they have to put on their life jacket first and make themselves a priority,” says Stephaine.

  • You can find Stephanie’s classes online every Tuesday at 6.30pm when you sign up to unislim.com
