Get Veganuary off to a flying start with this fabulous dairy and lactose-free cheese made in Ireland.

Based in Kildare, Flying Squirrel is renowned among veggies and vegans for its plant-based cheese alternatives. And its Camembert is the perfect addition to cheese boards of any variety this New Year.

Just like the real thing, it has a white rind and super creamy centre, but it’s made from cashew and macadamia nuts — not milk. Best served at room temperature, rather than straight out of the fridge, try it on a toasted bagel, homemade pizza bianca or bung it in a picnic basket with some fruit and crackers for an al fresco treat.
