2020 Santa Rita Medalla Real Reserva Sauvignon Blanc €16

This wine is Santa Rita’s more premium offering and will be a lovely treat to serve with Christmas dinner this year. On offer in SuperValu at €12 in the run up to Christmas, make sure you pop this in your shopping trolly. The grapes are grown in Casablanca Valley, one of Chile’s best known white wine regions. This is a really good quality Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. It has lovely aromas of tropical fruit, but when you taste it, it comes into its own. Serve with your seafood starter on Christmas Day.

2019 Doña Paula Estate Malbec €18

This is one of the most popular premium Malbec’s on the Irish market. This fabulous red is on offer at €12.00 until Christmas in SuperValu, Dunnes Stores and O’Brien’s Wines. Argentina Malbec has a gorgeous inky-black colour this one it has sweet spice aromas with flavours of red fruit and lots of ripe tannin. If you’re planning on serving something like Beef Wellington or Roast Duck this Christmas, then this is the perfect wine to match with it.
