Dear Angela: Girlfriend wants sex on the beach but I'm freaking out
Sort your sexual problems with honest and practical tips from Dr Angela Brokmann
Dear Angela: My girlfriend (20) wants us to have our first time on a beach and that puts me under so much pressure that I’m freaking out. I’ve never had sex before, but my girlfriend doesn’t know that.
I think I could manage sex in a bed without giving away how inexperienced I am, but sex on the beach puts me on a completely new level of stress. We’ll fly to Spain in a couple of weeks, and I’m sure that finding a beach to have sex on won’t be a problem. But how do you do it in the sand?
I’d like to impress her by changing positions once or twice, but is that even practicable on the beach? There’s a lot to look out for, and I have no clue where to start.

Answer: Apart from trying not to get caught, the main challenge of sex on the beach is keeping your bits and pieces sand-free.
So, first rule: bring a towel or a blanket. Secondly, when you change position there is a severe risk of getting sand in your bits, so even the most impressive moves are likely to backfire on you.
The best position for beach sex is girl on top — it keeps your genitals out of the sand, and it allows your girlfriend to take charge, making it a winner all around.
