Dear Angela,

My girlfriend (30) is glued to her mobile phone all the time, and that’s driving me nuts.

I (35) understand that she wants to stay in touch with her friends, but she is seriously overdoing it.

For example, she takes a picture of every meal we eat, from breakfast to late-night snacks.

And then she tweets the pics and uploads them on her Facebook.

She also takes selfies all the time, even when we cuddle or kiss.

The other night, she grabbed her mobile off the bedside table to take a picture while we were making love, and that really freaked me out.

I snapped and told her that I’ve had enough of that nonsense. She said I’m overreacting, but I’m not.

I mean, I want her to myself when we make love, and I certainly don’t want to entertain her Facebook friends with our sex pics.

Angela says:

You’re not overreacting; it’s understandable that you are annoyed with your girlfriend’s mobile phone obsession.

She shouldn’t spoil your private moments with selfies and Facebook updates.

And she shouldn’t grab her mobile and take pictures while you make love — unless you agreed to it and it’s okay with you.

Have a serious chat with your girlfriend. Explain how you feel; ask her to leave her mobile alone when you enjoy private moments together, and make sure it’s out of reach when you make love.
