A woman and her three children have been treated for smoke inhalation after what police are treating as an arson attack in Craigavon.

At around 11.40pm the police received a report that the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service was in attendance at a blaze at a garage in the Westacres area of the town.

It is understood all three children are under the age of 10.

The four occupants were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Detective Sergeant Dave Stewart said: "While our investigation is at an early stage, we are treating this as arson at this time, and we are asking anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to call us on 101, quoting reference number 29 of 13/07/21."
