TRIBUTES have been paid to four members of an Irish family killed in an horrific car crash in the UK yesterday morning.

Father and son Jonny (44) and Johnboy Cash (19) along with Jacko Cosgrove (18) and Myles ‘Smiler’ Cash (22) died when their Toyota Hilux left the road and smashed into a tree.

A 15-year-old boy, who was in the vehicle survived the crash and was taken to a London hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

Flowers and tributes marked the scene of the tragedy today where one of the men’s wives left a bunch of white roses .

A note read: “To my baby I love you so much.”

She had to be comforted by friends when she broke down at the scene.

Those paying tribute today also carved the men’s initials into the tree where one man remembered Jonny Cash as “always making you laugh, the life of the party.”

Family members said the men were on their home to watch the Tyson Fury fight when the accident occurred in heavy fog.

Up-and-coming boxer Dennis McCann also paid tribute on social media to one of the dead men.

The undefeated bantamweight, who is promoted by Frank Warren, posted a photo of himself with John Cash.

It has the message: "One of my best friends, my brother, love you cuz".

A nearby resident has told how he was woken by loud bang which was followed by the arrival of emergency crews.

He said: "The whole road was full of blue lights – they have been there all night. It was very, very foggy along the road and has been the past few nights."

Police were called at 12.54am to Lenham Road, Headcorn, following the collision involving the bronze-coloured Toyota Hilux.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and four people who were inside the vehicle were declared deceased at the scene.

The men lived in nearby Martin's Gardens and were travelling in a Broadoak Paving works vehicle.

The police's serious collision investigation unit, which was at the scene for more than 12 hours, is appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.

One man, who asked not to be named, said one of the men was his uncle and he found out first thing this morning what had happened.

He said: "He was a great, great man and I am broken I am still very confused and I am trying to find answers on why it happened."
