Garda probe Teenager found dead at house in Co Meath suffered fatal gunshot wound

Gardaí investigating the death of a teenager whose body was found at a house in Co Meath have confirmed he died from a gunshot wound. 

Gardai launched an investigation following the discovery of a body of a 19-year-old man at a house on the Trim Road, Enfield at approximately 8:30am on Friday morning.

The man's body was removed to the Mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, where a post mortem was conducted.

A Garda spokesperson said today: "A senior investigating officer has been appointed and an incident room has been established at Trim Garda Station. Gardaíwill provide a media briefing and make an appeal for witnesses at Trim GardaStation at 2.30pm today."

No arrests have been made.

A Garda spokesperson said yesterday evening: "Gardaí are appealing for any person that was travelling on the Trim Road at Enfield between the hours of 8pm on Thursday, 26th August, 2021, and 7am on Friday, 27th August, 2021, who observed any unusual activity, to make contact with them.

"Gardaí are also appealing to any road users that were travelling in the area during these times and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this footage available to Gardaí."
