Body discovered Man (70s) found dead at house in Cork city

Gardai are "investigating all the circumstances" after a man's body was found in a house in Cork city.

The remains of the man, aged in his 70s, were discovered by paramedics at a property on Barrack Street this morning, Tuesday 24th August, 2021.

Gardai were notified and the man's body was taken to the city morgue at Cork University Hospital.

A post mortem will take place in due course.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: "The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation."
