Over €57,000 worth of drugs have been seized and three men have been arrested following a search carried out at an apartment in Dublin yesterday.

During the search operation, heroin worth €49,000 and crack cocaine to the value of €8,500 was discovered and seized from the premises on North Circular Road.

Three men, two aged in their 30s and one in his 40s, were arrested at the scene.

They are currently detained at Bridewell garda station under drug trafficking legislation.

All drugs seized are subject to analysis.

Gardai say the operation "represents significant progress in the ongoing investigation into the illegal sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin 7 area."
